A long table laid for dinner by candlelight: glassware, folded linen and low flames running away into a dark room.

Someone else cooks tonight.

A menu built with you, shopped, prepped, cooked in your kitchen and served. Plates go out hot. The kitchen is left clean. You never have to leave the table.

What you are actually buying

Not a caterer. A chef, in your kitchen.

Catering arrives in trays. A private chef arrives with the shopping done and cooks the meal where you are, so it reaches the table at the temperature it was meant to be eaten at.

That is the difference you can taste, and it is the reason the menu is built for your night rather than picked off a list.

You are not ordering food. You are handing over the evening.

What an evening looks like

He arrives with everything.

  1. Before

The menu is agreed, the shopping is done and the prep that travels well is already finished. Nothing about your night depends on a supermarket run.

  2. During

Chef Al cooks in your kitchen and plates each course as it is ready. You are in the room with your guests, not standing at the oven.

  3. After

The kitchen is left clean. The part of the night nobody looks forward to is simply handled.

Who it suits

Small rooms, real occasions.

Birthdays, anniversaries, small dinners and corporate hosting at home. Fifteen guests or two. If you are cooking for people whose opinion you care about, that is the night this is for.

What is included

A menu built with you, the shopping, the prep, cooking in your kitchen, plating and serving, and cleaning the kitchen afterwards.

What is quoted separately

Every event is quoted as a whole, because a dinner for six and a dinner for fifteen are different jobs. Guest count, the menu you land on and how long you want him there all move the number. You will get a real figure before anything is booked.

Allergies and dietary needs

Menus are built per event, so dietary needs, allergies and family recipes are all workable. Tell us early and they get designed into the menu rather than worked around on the night.

Bleu Truffle Kitchens takes food allergies seriously. Proper sanitation, handwashing, gloves and ingredient separation are used to minimize cross contact. Customers must disclose allergens before ordering. The kitchen is not allergen free and cross contact cannot be fully eliminated.

Your kitchen

Most home kitchens are fine. Tell us roughly what you have, an oven, a cooktop, how much counter there is, and the menu is planned around it. It is worth mentioning early rather than on the day.

How far he travels

Sacramento and the surrounding region, including Elk Grove, Folsom, Granite Bay and El Dorado Hills. Travel beyond that is available for private chef and event work. Ask and you will get a straight answer.

How it works

From first message to plated.

  1. Tell us about the night.

Guest count, the occasion, your kitchen, anything anybody cannot eat.

  2. Build the menu together.

A call or a video chat. Chef Al proposes, you shape it.

  3. Confirm and cook.

Final headcount, then an invoice. Chef Al arrives with everything.

Ready when you are

Tell us about the night.

The more you tell us, the better the menu. If you are not sure yet, send what you have.
